More About Elyse
- Elyse has always felt drawn to becoming a psychotherapist because she has a softer personality that grounded in empathy and ability to hold others in their vulnerability. Elyse has a passionate interest in psychology and passion of advocating for mental health care for all.
- Her first step in pursuing my dream in becoming a psychotherapist was completing a Bachelor of Psychology degree at University of Guelph. Since then Elyse has completed a diploma in Social Service Work at Sheridan College.
- While Elyse was a student, there was a semester where 5 students died by suicide, where she felt more compelled to be part of the change that prevents this from happening ever again.
- Elyse has been apart of many organizations like Torchlight Distress Lines, Good2Talk Post-Secondary Phone Line and Student Initiative for Mental Health Education where she helped her community with their life’s journeys and advocated for their mental health.
- These experiences fuelled a fire in Elyse's heart to create more accessibility for preventative support. Elyse aims to offer affordability and continuous access to tools to support you through any of life’s challenges.
- Tracey and Elyse met at Sheridan College and became fast friends. Both of us aligned with our aspirations, support for women and value of mental health care. From there, we decided to open a psychotherapy organization that helps women in our community with their mental health and stress of daily life. It has been a journey for both of us but now we are happy to offer psychotherapy services
